Cooking Healthy at Home
What day is it?!
Oh, I know you know what I mean. Whether it is because you have been doing it all at home, from school teacher to short order cook or to fitness guru, or maybe you decided to finally take those ukulele lessons you have been putting off because you never had time. Well, no time like the present.
There is no doubt that this situation has made us turn to our kitchens. Yes, we still use delivery services and are perhaps buying more frozen and canned foods than usual, but one thing seems clear to me: we are cooking more.
This is why I partnered with Nature’s Fare, a well-established local health food store for those not familiar with the name, to host a series of Wellness talks centered on how to cook healthily at home. Can I just say I loved the experience. Also, I do what I do because I love to be able to provide guidance, tools and techniques to make healthy cooking and eating habits that last.
If you missed the Facebook talks, no worries, I have one right here for you to check out. In this talk I discuss what healthy cooking is and how to cook healthier at home. As I said at the beginning of the talk, please only take what makes sense for you and your family. We are all doing our best, and as we transition to our new reality, we need to be patient and gentle with ourselves.
Finally, it is Bonfire’s belief that the kitchen is not a one woman/man show, it is a place to be a team, to support each other and to build up confidence and self-esteem.
I hope you enjoy the video.
Ps: Turn the volume up.
